“Each year, the Pupil Leadership Team at Cheltenham College nominate a charity to support. Throughout the year Prefects and Upper Sixth Form pupils work together to plan and implement successful ways of fundraising and promoting awareness of the charity. This year, the charity chosen by pupils is Gloucestershire Young Carers.
The College were delighted to welcome Gloucestershire Young Carers Fundraising Manager, Toni Collier, into Chapel on 12 September to share information with pupils about the charity and who it supports, and to launch a year of fundraising.
Cheltenham College’s work with charities is driven by a sense of care and responsibility for improving the lives of individuals and communities. The College community aims to raise funds for charitable causes, provide an opportunity for our pupils to gain frst-hand experience of the challenges and issues which charities are supporting, and develop and deepen relationships with charity partners.
The College community are very much looking forward to a number of fundraising events coming up this academic year, to raise money for the local charity.”
