The charity’s Fundraising and Marketing Manager Jane Dyer is leaving Gloucestershire Young Carers and says she will miss the young people she has worked with over the years.

As Fundraising Manager, Jane has been working for GYCfor 12 years, starting with raising awareness of the charity and its supportfor young carers and then, in recent years, raising funds to help pay for vitalservices.

Now she is looking forward to a new challenge butsays she will miss the young people she has worked with on presentations, fundraisingevents and with corporate supporters.

“Knowing the challenges that young people face andseeing them still go above and beyond to support the charity they love, hasinspired me throughout my time at GYC,” Jane says.

She adds: “I have been privileged to have been given permission to tell the young people’s stories to funders and supporters but the most enjoyable part of my work has been when I have taken young people along to events with me. I would also add that I could not have achieved in my role without the amazing team at GYC and the loyal supporters the charity has.”
