Have you taken up baking with the extra time at home during lockdown? Whip out your wooden spoon, bring out your baking bowls and make a stir to celebrate Halloween by taking part in our spooky themed virtual bake-off. Get a slice of the action, where muffin ventured muffin gained and the winner bakes all between September 23rd and October 28th.
All entrants will have the opportunity to show-off their virtual baking skills to a panel of judges which will include young adult carers.
There will be a prize for the winner of a recipe book and a luxury hamper of bakery items kindly provided by Midcounties Co-op, who are long term partner of GYC.
One winner will be chosen by the panel on 30th October and the winner will be announced on social media. The full terms and conditions can be found here.
To enter the bake-off a £3 donation to GYC is required for each entry. Donations must be made through the website www.glosyoungcarers.org.uk before sending us your photo entry. Photos can be sent via Facebook Messenger, by tagging us on Twitter and using the hashtag #GYCbakeoff, or sent via email to mail@glosyoungcarers.org.uk.
The independent panel will be judging the bakes on appearance, originality, and difficulty to decide who will become the Scare Baker!
We hope you have lots of fun taking part in our Halloween virtual bake-off competition and enjoy this great way to show off the baking skills you have developed during lock down. Why not challenge your friends, families and colleagues to compete against you all in aid of a great cause. With many fundraising activities being cancelled because of COVID19, we need your help more than ever.
