Julia Rausing Trust supports Christmas Fun!

We are incredibly grateful to the Julia Rausing Trust for their generous donation supporting Christmas and New Year celebrations for young carers and young adult carers. A visit to the pantomime, parties, bowling, and music workshop will all be on the cards enable these amazing young people to have a break from their adult responsibilities and meet and have fun with other young carers.

Scott Bailey-Locke, Youth participation Lead said,

“It is always wonderful to see all of the Our Voice Forum together and celebrating all of the incredible work they have done across the year. From delivering lectures in universities to being on national television, they have each individually grown in confidence and skill in their own ways and not only have seen success as a group but individual successes as well. A massive thankyou to Julia Rausing for their donation to make it such a fun event and also to Sew a Day Cheltenham for their donations of presents to young carers around the county.”

Our Voice is the Gloucestershire Young Carers Forum for 11 – 18 year old that help steer the organisation and also work with other organisations that support young carers and their families. Members of the forum have opportunities to take part in research projects, present to professionals, media opportunities, work with organisations such as the NHS and county council and national projects. If your child is a part of Gloucestershire young carers and might be interested in taking part in one of our forums please speak to a member of staff or contact Scott.
