We are absolutely delighted to share the wonderful news that we have been awarded £130,000 by the National Lottery Community Fund towards the provision of our county-wide young carer respite groups over the next 3 years. Thank you National Lottery players and the Community Fund for this incredible support that will enable us to continue to provide this important part of our service to more young carers across Gloucestershire.

Rowan Miller, Head of Regional Funding in the South West for The National Lottery Community Fund, said: “We are delighted to award this grant of more than £130,000 to Gloucestershire Young Carers, which will ensure more children and young people with caring responsibilities across the county have access to respite support groups. Thanks to National Lottery players, this funding will help to reduce the social isolation experienced by young carers and support them to improve their mental wellbeing by coming together with other young people in a safe and welcoming environment.”
