Warwick Castle trip for young carers thanks to Midcounties Co-operative

It wasn’t that long ago we could only dream of going on a day trip with young carers due to Covid restrictions. We were so happy to finally be able to board a coach and take these amazing young people for a magical day at Warwick Castle thanks to our generous long-term supporters at Midcounties Co-operative.

In the summer sunshine, everyone had a fantastic time exploring the castle and its vast grounds. They really enjoyed the maze and even watched an exciting live jousting tournament!

Our heartfelt thanks to Midcounties Co-operative who funded this trip including transport for 16 young carers. It was really wonderful to meet up with Walsall Young Carers too. Conor O’Neil Community Co-ordinator at Midcounties said “‘It means a lot to us to be able to bring two of our most special charity partners together for a summer trip. Children deserve to live fun and happy summers and us paying for this trip is a way of saying thank you to the groups for all the amazing work they do and we know there will be more to come’.
