We're thrilled to announce the latest addition to the Gloucestershire Young Carers team, Ellie Scrivens, who joins us as our Marketing and Communications Officer.

Ellie shares her journey with GYC, which began in 2018 when she co-produced the Caring in Harmony Christmas Concert, bringing together over twenty young carers from across the county to create a wonderful evening of music. It was this experience that sparked her passion for volunteering, and she continued to work closely with the organisation, collaborating with local charities and even spending a day creating and scheduling social media posts. After completing her studies in Music at the University of Plymouth, Ellie ventured into the charity sector as an administrator, where she honed her skills in marketing and communications. Her dedication to helping charities amplify their voices and impact grew stronger, and in 2023 she had the opportunity to specialise in digital marketing at another local charity, alongside studying for her Master’s Degree in Music Composition at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama!

Ellie loves using her creativity to develop engaging content, and looks forward to contributing her skills and passion to our team.
