Cotswold Hills Women's Golf Team have raised more than £2000 for Gloucestershire Young Carers' work in support of young carers.
The club has been busy holding events and sales throughout the past year. And earlier in the year they heard a presentation by Fundraising Manager Jane Dyer about the work the charity does in support of young people supporting family members who are physically or mentally ill or who are affected by substance misuse.
Just in time for Young Carers Awareness Day 2019 Captain Fiona Carlisle presented the charity with a cheque for £2407. Fiona herself supported the charity through volunteering and donations of flower arrangements.
Jane Dyer, Fundraising Manager, said: "This has been a great partnership throughout the year. As well as this fantastic amount of money, which will go directly to our work with young carers, the members have also got involved in a number of events and activities including our Hidden Potential art fundraiser last year. We are very grateful and hope they will continue to spread the word about the challenges young carers face."
