This pancake day our Social Prescribers prepared special packages to deliver to families to celebrate!
On Tuesday 21st February, our social prescribers, Scott and Claire, specially prepared pancake day gift bags including pancakes, sugar, lemon, chocolate sauce and more for young carers and their families to enjoy. The bags were aimed to ensure everyone could celebrate Shrove Tuesday and enjoy all the delicious treats with as many toppings as they could imagine!
Social prescribing is a new service offered within Young Carers providing one-to-one support that looks to connect young people to activities, groups, and services in their community to meet the practical, social and emotional needs that affect their health and wellbeing. Giving them the support they need to live their lives to the full.
Each pancake package was hand delivered to families around Gloucester, Cheltenham and Stroud and met with lots of smiling faces!
