During lockdown we asked Young Carers across Gloucestershire to get creative, in order to show us how lockdown had affected them. We had a great time looking through the entries here at Gloucestershire Young Carers, so thank you to everyone who entered - they were all fantastic!
We have now selected just one piece from each age range to take the winning prize. And the winners are....
This is Alices' winning entry. The judges, which included two young adult carers, loved how Alice expressed how her life has changed.
This is Tabithas' winning entry, a grumpy unicorn, unable to find what it wants in the shops.
Our judges loved this picture and how it captures the experience of shopping at the start of lockdown.
This is Lilys' winning entry, a short story "The lockdown shattered my old life. I'm mending it with gold". Lilys' story really moved the judges. We are sure her writing will resonate with everyone going through the emotional roller-coaster of lockdown life. Click here to read the full story.
Congratulations! Prizes will be on their way to you shortly!
