Our charity partners Moore, Allen and Innocent take on a wheelie big challenge.

Not to be deterred by the pandemic in their fundraising efforts, the team decided to saddle up and take to the Cotswold roads to raise money for our charity. A fantastic day was had by all which raised £500 for their chosen charity for 2020.

Roy is a partner at the firm said “With the infamous Covid 19 our plan this year for a two-day cycle ride of 175 km in June was cancelled.  Thankfully a large contingency of those who were proposing to participate decided that we should make the effort for our chosen charity, Gloucestershire Young Carers, to carry out a ‘watered-down’ team effort.  So, blessed with good weather, on Saturday 17th October nine riders and a support crew set out on a 57 mile circular circuit from our Cirencester office.  The route engulfed many picturesque villages and was mostly away from main roads.  Stops in Great Somerford, lunch at Luckington and an afternoon stop in Tetbury ensured the team were fully fuelled for the challenge.

Returning by 4pm, the day was a tremendous success and thankfully has raised funds for the Gloucestershire Young Carers. We now plan our next event, before Christmas, to include a bout of bake-offs and decorate a bauble competition!” The team have also decided to continue to support Gloucestershire Young Carers in 2021 which is wonderful news, we are really excited to carry on this fantastic partnership for another year and are very grateful for that support and endorsement of our charities work. They have very kindly agreed to sponsor our ‘We Care, We Count’ Winter 2020 newsletter which is written and edited by young carers and reaches 100’s of young carers, families and supporters.
