GloucestershireYoung Carers is still committed to finding new and innovative ways to supportyoung carers during the Corona crisis.
Webelieve that this current situation will have a huge impact on the lives of theyoung people we support as a charity – particularly those in the mostvulnerable families. Isolation is a key challenge at the best of times for manyyoung carers and now, as self-isolation becomes more prevalent, we know manywill struggle. In addition, many will experience the impact of loss of incomein the family as companies begin to make difficult decisions regardingstaffing.
Wewould urge you, our loyal supporters, to continue to keep our charity in yourthoughts. A small donation to our Young Carers Corona Crisis Appeal will go along way towards helping us to continue our support both now and in the periodafter the pandemic has subsided.
Familiesacross Gloucestershire will undoubtedly find it hard to get back on their feetafter the crisis but now, more than ever, support from organisations such asours is vital to young people caring for family members with illness, disability, long-term ill health or mental ill health. All of this and with thefear of a new health threat on their doorstep.
We wouldwelcome your support. Please donate here: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/YoungCarersCoronaAppeal or get in touch withany ideas on how you might be able to help the families we support – virtuallyor otherwise.
